holy crap, help
Does anyone know how I can set this thing such that I don’t have to approve comments every time? I’d much rather manually delete spam than manually approve real posters. I can’t find a setting to change this. Help?

The Wizard Exploded Cookbook 
In the administration part of your site, go to Settings -> Discussion. In the 4th section down (‘Before a comment appears’), ensure that both check-boxes are unchecked.

Did that work for you? I’ve never used wordpress.com hosting but that works my own WP installation.
I can’t be 100% sure until someone who hasn’t commented before tries to comment, but I’m pretty sure it handled it.
